Dr. Rajack-Talley has over thirty-five (35) years of research, service, and administrative work experience with many Caribbean governments, as well as non-governmental organizations at the regional, sub-regional, and international levels.  She has also worked for an array of institutions in the USA, Canada, and the African Diaspora in areas of education, socio-economic development and social justice.

Dr. Rajack-Talley is a Fulbright scholar with a BSc in Agriculture (University of the West Indies), an M. Phil in Agriculture Extension (University of the West Indies), and a PhD in Sociology (University of Kentucky).

As a Full Professor in Pan-African Studies, her research focuses on the intersectionality of Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Social Class and their impact on marginalized groups, households, and communities. She has written numerous books, book chapters, journal articles, and technical reports on these issues, emphasizing women’s agency and gender roles and the importance of human and social capital investment in policy and decision-making making processes. Internationally, she taught, conducted research (quantitative, qualitative, participatory), and provided leadership in academic institutions around the same themes.

Between 2019 and 2025, Dr. Rajack-Talley served as the inaugural Vice-Provost for Equity and Inclusiveness at Dalhousie University, advancing three main areas: (i) diversity, inclusion, equity, accessibility, decolonization, and anti-racism; (ii) Human Rights and Equity Services (including Sexual Violence, Racial Violence, Discrimination and Harassment policies); and (iii) Indigenous Community Engagement.
